James “Boogaloo” Bolden, former member and bandleader of B.B. King’s band for forty-two years and former member of the Duke Ellington Orchestra for five years. I have played on five Grammy Award-winning albums and performed before four United States presidents. In 2003, while still a member of B.B. King’s band, I started my own band, the James “Boogaloo” Bolden Blues Band. This band is available for hire for festivals and musical events.
